The Athenry Drama Group is still going strong with a history that ranges back to the 1930s and with newer additions like the supremely talented Athenry Musical School we certainly are blessed.
And the towns recently involvement in the successful Galway 2020 bid for European Capital of Culture saw artists, volunteers and locals coming together to celebrate Incredible Edible Athenry through art installations, events and a fantastic community picnic hosted alongside the magical Bia Lover Food Festival.
We have our own troupe of stilters in the nibble Glidor.
